A new life created by an accident of modern technology

But you are not a machine,

You are flesh and blood.

Your parents never asked you to be born, nor did you.

But you are here, alive.

You said to me, they live through you,

Two men combined to one.

But I look into your vibrant eyes,

And I see only you.

You are my friend,

How can I ever forgive myself?

The life of two outweighs the life of one.

The Captain has to make the decision.

Today I wish it wasn’t me.

How can I ever forgive myself?
